About 31.4 percent of the 3,876 degrees and certificates handed out by Fort Hays State University in 2017-18 were to students in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Hays conferred 1165 bachelor's degrees and 50 master's degrees in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in "other" business, management, marketing, and related support services. Data shows the school gave out 577 bachelor's degrees in "other" business, management, marketing, and related support services, followed by 494 bachelor's degrees in general business administration and management and 278 bachelor's degrees in liberal arts and sciences/liberal studies.

The university enrolled 15,523 students for 2017-18, including 12,780 in undergraduate programs and 2,743 in graduate programs.
