Maintenance/Street Supervisor
The City of Lucas is hiring for the position of Maintenance/Street Superintendent. The Maintenance/Street Supervisor will be responsible for various duties and tasks necessary for the operation and maintenance of streets, city utilities (water, electric, sewer), equipment, and facilities for the City of Lucas.
Equipment operation experience is required, this employee will operate tractors, mowers, and other departmental equipment.
Experience in street repair and repair techniques for utility systems and safety procedures is preferred. Certification in Class 1 Water Supply System Operator and Class 1 Wastewater Treatment Facility System Operator or the ability to obtain certifications within twelve months of hire.
The successful candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude and excellent communication, organizational, and public relations skills.
A valid driver’s license and high school diploma or GED are required. Salary based on experience. Benefits include vacation, sick leave, KPERS retirement, medical, vision, and dental.
