Miller

Keyishon Miller | Northwest Kansas Technical College

Keyishon Miller | Northwest Kansas Technical College

Men's Basketballfelll to Hutchinson CC on Wednesday evening, 90-87. It was a closely contested game all the way through with 10 ties and 11 lead changes.

In the first half, Keyishon Miller and Ethan Yancy lead the way in scoring, with 11 points each. The score at the end of the half had Hutch up by 7 points after hitting three 3-pointers in a row. In the second-half Northwest Tech almost immediately tied the game at 48 points and traded leads back-and-forth for the remainder of the game.

"I thought we could improve our rebounding," commented Coach Bradley. "We got off to a slow start and didn't finish possessions well. I do think we did some good things given it was our first game back from break. I told the guys we need to continue to learn/build then we'll be playing our best basketball come February, we just have to continue to work."

The real difference in the game for the Mavs was missed Free Throws (27-45) and allowing Hutch to score 2nd Chance Points (14). If Tech can Improve upon these categories, they'll win a lot more games. The Mavs' next matchup will be against Barton Community College on Saturday.
