TCCF’s new look and new director
The Thomas County Community Foundation is excited to share about their new logo, new director, new plans and new opportunities.
New look
Who doesn’t love a refresh? Since 2001, the Foundation has had the iconic windmill as its logo. With new leadership, rebranding was a priority. Executive Director, Jada Tubbs, felt that it was time to reengage with the community proving that the Foundation is here for generations to come due in part because of the generosity from donors.
The new symbol is the “official symbol of gratitude”. Being thankful for the support throughout the past 22 years, the Foundation has big plans to develop more fund and scholarship opportunities for its citizens.
New year
2023 will prove to be a pivotal year for the Foundation as it begins the process of affiliating with the Greater Northwest Community Foundation out of Bird City, Kan. The back-office support including technology, payroll, taxes, daily staff assistance and program development will only enhance the production coming from your local office. Your experience should be a seamless one. Tubbs says she’s most excited to be able to hit the streets making face-to-face visits with the community instead of doing the job from behind the desk or phone. She will have more freedom to cultivate relationships and hear from community-minded individuals on ideas that will help Thomas County stay progressive and feel advocated for.
New initiative
Currently, TCCF is working closely with both Dane G. Hansen and the GNWKCF staff on an initiative to educate the community about the Transfer of Wealth Study and Estate Planning Opportunity with John Griffin, J.D. The knowledge Mr. Griffin brings to the table is worth hearing about! Do you have a plan in place or feel that it may be time to review it? The charge for this is FREE.
The Hansen Foundation has contracted with Mr. Griffin on our behalf. Why? They feel it is important to make a difference and you can do so with a plan. If the Thomas County Community Foundation could capture 5% of the Transfer of Wealth through estates by the year 2070 it would be able to grant out more than $8.8 million a YEAR!!! Dream for a moment. What would you like to see be built or developed here? For more information, please contact the office at (785) 460-9152.
An invitation
The Foundation board and staff hope you start to recognize the new logo, will stop by to see the new director in her newly redecorated office and will take advantage of the estate planning opportunity. We look forward to our upcoming Match Month in April. Please consider contributing as it is a $1 for $1 match from the Dane G. Hansen Foundation. All dollars raised are put into a community grant fund to be used for Thomas County community projects. The Annual Golf Tournament is Friday, April 28 at Meadowlake Golf Course. Final note, our new email address is info@thomasccf.com and website www.thomasccf.com.
