KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Fort Hays State sophomore guard Kaleb Hammeke was named to the NABC All-District Second Team for the Central Region on Monday (Mar. 20). Hammeke was one of 10 players named to the region's all-district team, joining three other players from the MIAA. The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference had five named to the team, while the Great American Conference had one.
Hammeke adds this honor to an All-MIAA First Team selection for the 2022-23 season. He averaged 16.4 points and 3.6 assists per game for the season, scoring in double figures 27 of 30 games. He scored 20 or more seven times and 30 or more twice. A 36-point performance against Northeastern State on December 1, 2022 was his season high and he nearly matched that on February 18, 2023 with 35 at Missouri Southern.
Hammeke gives Fort Hays State a player on the NABC All-District Team for a third-straight year. Jared Vitztum was also a second-team selection in both 2020-21 and 2021-22.
