Outdoor track and field season is underway, and Trojans' jumper Tremaine Browne was named the week one Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) Athlete of the Week.
Competing in the long jump at the West Texas A&M Spring Break Open in Canyon, Texas, Browne posted a leap of 7.26 meters to win the event and set a personal record. The performance gave him an NJCAA qualifying mark and puts him in the lead nationally. The freshman from Linden, Guyana, also placed second in the triple jump by soaring 14.01 meters.
