FOIA Request to Fort Hays State University regarding Chinese National students on June 16, 2025.

A Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request was submitted to Fort Hays State University by NW Kansas News on June 16, 2025. The request seeks specific records related to Chinese National students at the university under the Kansas Open Records Act § 45-215 et seq.

The requested information includes documents or lists detailing all current students who are Chinese Nationals, along with their respective departments of study. If student names are protected, the request asks for a total number of such students and a breakdown by department. Additionally, the request seeks details on scholarships received by these students, including amounts and sources.
