Men's Cross Country competed on Saturday at the Trojan Invite, hosted by Colby Community College. The Mavs finished 4th overall in the 8000-meter run, scoring 128 points.

Peter Kimayo led the way Saturday morning, finishing 5th overall with a personal best of (24:26.5). Next to finish was Nathan Kipyego in 18th, also a personal best with a time of (25:17.4).
Raphael Kitur finished 23rd covering the 8k course in a time of (25:42.8). Brian Kiptoo finished not far behind in 32nd place with a time of (26:11.5). Brian Kipkosgei rounded out the top 5 scorers, finishing 50th overall with a time of (27:16.5). Tayler Kleinow also competed for the Mavericks, finishing 72nd with a time of (30:58.4), improving his time from the last race.
"I was happy with the teams results today and with everyone improving from the previous race," said Coach Kiptoo. "I hope to see an even greater improvement as we prepare for regionals."
Northwest Tech's next meet will be at the Region VI Championships in Hutchinson, KS, on October 28th.
