FHSU tree-lighting ceremony set for Nov. 29

HAYS, Kan. – A long-time campus tradition returns, celebrating the holiday season and the planting of our two evergreen trees at Fort Hays State University.The holiday tree-lighting ceremony will be in front of Sheridan Hall. The event is open to the public and will begin at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29. The university’s Dickens Carolers will perform. A variety of activities will follow the tree lighting, including crafts and cookie decorating, a coloring page contest, kids' train rides, and photos with Santa Claus. The first 200 people will have the opportunity to receive a holiday-themed FHSU long-sleeved T-shirt and coffee/ hot chocolate from Breathe Coffee.The event is sponsored by several FHSU offices and organizations: the Office of Student Engagement, the Office of the President, and Residential Life.
