On June 19, 2025, Senator Moran reflected on the significance of Juneteenth, marking the day in 1865 when "the last enslaved African Americans in the U.S. learned that the Civil War had ended & they were free." He emphasized Kansas's role in the fight against slavery and civil rights for all Americans, urging continued efforts towards a more perfect union. "Kansas played an important role in the fight against slavery & for civil rights for all Americans."

On June 20, 2025, Senator Moran visited Clara Barton Medical Center in Hoisington. He received updates from staff regarding their work to expand care and treatment options.
