Senator Jerry Moran has recently shared a series of tweets highlighting key initiatives and recognitions in the agricultural and military sectors. His updates provide insights into legislative efforts, disaster relief programs, and commendations for military service.

On July 8, 2025, Senator Moran announced his participation in a discussion with Greg Akagi on WIBW News regarding a reconciliation bill aimed at supporting Kansas agricultural producers. He emphasized that "This legislation modernizes Farm Bill programs - including an updated farm safety net, access to affordable crop insurance & disaster relief for producers."

The following day, July 9, 2025, he conveyed positive developments about the USDA's Disaster Relief Program. According to his tweet, "Signup for @USDA's Disaster Relief Program opens tomorrow to allow ag producers recovering from natural disasters in 2024 to apply for much-needed assistance." He expressed gratitude towards Secretary Rollins for facilitating expedited support for Kansas producers.

Later on the same day, Senator Moran shared an honor bestowed upon Chief Warrant Officer Chris Crowley, a Kansas native and Dustoff pilot during the Vietnam War. In his words: "It was an honor to present KS native Chief Warrant Officer Chris Crowley with the Congressional Gold Medal for his service as a Dustoff pilot during the Vietnam War." The acknowledgment recognized Crowley's valor in risking his life to rescue fellow servicemembers under hostile conditions.

These announcements reflect Senator Moran's ongoing commitment to addressing agricultural needs and honoring military contributions.
