Defense functions are set to receive $6.6 billion, which encompasses the FBI’s national security and counterintelligence missions. Additionally, $569 million is earmarked for grants supporting police and sheriff departments.

The act provides $2.6 billion aimed at dismantling cartels responsible for flooding the U.S. with fentanyl.

Economic investments amounting to $10.9 billion will focus on trade promotion and enforcement, weather forecasting, oceanic and atmospheric monitoring, scientific research, broadband deployment, and intellectual property protection. The National Weather Service's life-saving functions will be fully funded along with 24/7 staffing at Weather Forecast Offices nationwide.

NASA is allocated $24.9 billion for space exploration initiatives such as the Artemis campaign and human spaceflight projects like SLS and Orion launch services.

Moreover, $9 billion is designated for essential research prioritizing emerging technologies including advanced manufacturing, artificial intelligence (AI), and quantum science.

Senator Moran released a statement regarding this approval by the committee but did not provide further comments beyond what was included in his initial announcement.
