On July 22, 2025, Senator Moran posted about a meeting with William Kirkland, stating: "Last week, I met with William Kirkland, the nominee to be Assistant Secretary for @Interior Indian Affairs and a member of the Navajo Nation. We discussed his plans to support Tribal communities and my bill to reform Haskell Indian Nations University. I look forward to working". Later that day, Moran announced the passage of new legislation aimed at increasing oversight within the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). He wrote: "PASSED: My bill – the Stop GREED Act – to require greater transparency on how VA is spending taxpayer dollars & prevent senior VA officials in DC from awarding themselves bonuses with PACT Act funding like we saw under the last administration." The measure seeks to address concerns about bonus allocations among senior VA officials by mandating stricter controls over PACT Act funds.

On July 23, 2025, Moran addressed issues related to airline passenger fees and airport security investments. He stated: "After years of diverting revenues from the Passenger Security Fee to non-security purposes, my bill, the SAFEGUARDS Act, would ensure the $5.60 fee you pay with every purchased airline ticket is being invested in new technology to keep air travel safe. Read more". The SAFEGUARDS Act is intended to guarantee that funds collected through passenger fees are dedicated exclusively toward enhancing aviation security infrastructure.
